Our client is a growing Consultancy, being part of the four largest consulting companies in Switzerland.

Situation:

The fast growing office in Basle had recently reorganized and the organisation was looking for new talent for a core line of business.

Assessment:

As the tax business is getting more complicated, the need for an accomplished and well trained tax manager was very high.

Challenge:

The challenge was to find an excellent tax manager who would be willing to change from one of the “big 4” to our client company.
The market for these kinds of managers is very narrow and they are much in demand. All companies try to retain the good managers with interesting salary packages.

Methodology/Solution:

MAS conducted research of all of the big consulting companies in Switzerland. This required a lot of personal interviews to penetrate the market. MAS realized that a higher position should be offered to good candidates in order to attract them to the role and company. After meetings between the CEO of the company and MAS, our client agreed and decided to offer the desired candidate a partnership position.

Candidate:

After long discussions between an excellent candidate, coming from another big 4 company, and the responsible partner of our customer, the candidate signed the contract. MAS was intimately involved in organizing and supervising all stages of the offer which led to a successful conclusion.

Post-mortem:

Now, with a professional and competitive tax team in place in Basle, the business is growing very rapidly.
